  The 2* is for the nice sales assistant that served me. But the reason I rate this beautiful shop so low is because of their in store goldsmith. I brought in an engagement ring (purchased from another store), I needed a stone that had fallen out put back in. The sales assistant spoke to the in store goldsmith and they had a look at it. I was quoted more than expected and more work was apparently needed which would take up to 3 weeks. The kind sales assistant wrote down the details of 2 quotes. Feeling it was a bit expensive I said I would double check with the store it was bought from to see what they would quote. The reason I came here was because the other store was in Birmingham. After chatting to the other store in Birmingham (the ring was bought from) they seemed to query the quote Petra gave me and I felt more satisfied with their customer service and posted it off. Today I have been quoted from the Birmingham store (we purchased the ring from) and they said the work that the Petra goldsmith quoted me wasn't necessary. Petra's 2 quotes for work not needed was £190-£240 more than I needed to spend. Its a shame the goldsmith has ruined my first experience visiting the store and putting me off in the future. Especially with all its awards. Hate feeling I was nearly ripped off.
